The Rev. Robert W. Asinger was called as the third Senior Minister in the Church by the Sea’s 68 year history. Rev. Rob has a Masters of Divinity from Harvard University’s Divinity School and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Davidson University in North Carolina. He has served churches in the greater Boston area before being called to the Church by the Sea in January of 2010. Rev. Rob uses his sense of humor and his background in biology to bring to life the scriptures through children’s sermons and preaching.
Prior to Rev. Asinger’s call to the Church by the Sea, she worked as the Chaplain at Lasell College, Tufts University and Newbury College in the Boston area. While acting as a chaplain, Rev. Asinger lectured in the area of ethics and social studies.
Prior to her ordination, she worked in the area of human services, serving the homeless, rape victims and battered women.
Rev. Barbara has a Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School outside of Boston. Rev. Barbara obtained her doctorate in Theology from Wesley Theological Seminary in May 2016.
Degree in Music from the University of Immaculate Conception in Davao City, Philippines, with a major in Piano.
Graduated from West Virginia University with a BM in Music Education.
Nationally Board Certified teacher (early/middle childhood music).
Certification in Orff-Schulwerk.
Lu Anne has been singing with our Church by the Sea choir since 2011.
Jeana has a background in art education and has wonderful gifts interpreting God’s love through the arts. She inspires and coordinates many of the Church’s group art projects.
Jo Ann’s dedication to the nurturing of young minds and hearts can be felt in everything she does. She leads “Team Starfish” and has a great time doing it! She has a B.S. and a M.A. and is also the Director of the Lower School at Miami Country Day School.
Kady leads our littlest lights, “Team Minnow.” Her dedication to toddlers is evident in the little smiles on the faces of her team members! She has a B.A. in Psychology and also works for the Margaux Early Childhood School.
