PARKING
1. Please park in the Bal Harbour Shops parking garage on 96th Street. Parking in this garage is free of charge, just bring your ticket with you for validation. Ask a deacon for assistance with validation.
2. Those with physical limitations or who need special assistance are welcome to valet park at the hotel. Tell the valets you are with the Church by the Sea.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Time: We worship each Sunday morning at 10:30am. Worship lasts about an hour.
Dress: There is a wide spectrum of dress among the congregation – from very casual (jeans, sneakers, T-shirts) to dress casual (khakis, button down or polo style shirts) to dressy (ties, dresses, blazers). Whatever is your choice or comfort you will fit right in.
Children: Children attend worship in the Sanctuary with their parents for the first 15 minutes of worship. Then they are invited to attend church school. The church school teachers escort the children to their classrooms. Parents may accompany their children to church school if the parent or child wishes. Children are also welcome to remain in worship if they or their parents prefer.
Communion: Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, occurs in worship on the first Sunday of each month. We serve regular and gluten-free bread and and only Welch’s 100% grape juice (no wine). All are welcome to receive Communion regardless of age or membership.
Spanish: The service is translated into Spanish by a translator through headsets that can be picked up at the entrance of the ballroom.
